Wats growing on my oscar???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its a "chimple". basically a sore on the chin from rubbing on the glass or other objects. the term chimple is thrown around alot witth pirahna owners because p's get them alot because their so skittish and always running into crap. sometimes they go away sometimes they end up scarring and staying. just keep the water clean and make shure your O has plenty of room and it should heal on its own.

This guy got it right, its not a prob. just looks bad.

i have a venustus that has one from when he used to have crushed coral in the tanks and he kept digging. it healed over now that he has sand, but there is still a healed over scar/bump--and he seems fine.

if you see your oscar moving stuff i bet its the same thing... dont sweat it.

Possibly a lip lock sore from the other fishes teeth????

My Oscars get this occassionally from digging in the gravel and rearranging the items in their tank. They go away and sometimes leave a scar.
Don't worry too much about it.
