Wattage rule for heaters?

I forgot what it was....how many watts would be good for a 55-60 gallon? I live in socal so it doesn't get too cold here maybe 50 degrees at the coldest.

I would personally use two heaters on any tank. This way is one fails the other can at least keep the tank at temp.
