I thought 罗汉 can't have a wife, or am I mistaken? ;)

Usually you'd be right, but this Luo han has no desire to breed so better to stay mated to a female who shares the sentiment...

How can your landlord tell you what you can't have? Do you live with your folks? Is it in your lease somewhere that you have exceeded aquarium capacity? If not tell them to kiss it.

Actually a landlord can tell you what type of pet you can have. Remember, it's not the renter's house but the landlords. Most people think that once you pay rent, you can do whatever you want. Pets are not something a renter has for a necessity, like water, gas, etc...(unless it's a service animal). I own a couple of houses that I rent out and it states in the rental agreement what type of pet a renter can have. A small dog under 25lbs, or a cat or a 10 gallon aquarium. You have to remember that the landlord has to pay the mortgage, get insurance, fix or buy anything broken and also clean up after the original renter leaves and even with the pets I stated in the agreement, renters with pets also take longer to clean. I once had a tenant with a 10 gallon tank that I didn't know leaked. I always wondered why the tank was always in a different location. I found out after he left. Every spot he had the fish tank, the carpet smelled like mold (he covered the smell with freshener). So, every time the carpet got wet, he moved the tank. Cost me big $ to clean the mold, rug, and padding. That's why I don't ask for the first and last month rent. I put the amount of the first and last months rent to use for any repairs after they decide to leave.

Please see question number 3.

Of course China and the US have different lawa when it comes to landlord/tenant rights and remedies. I'd guess that China's favor the landlord...

I've also had to withold part of a past tenant's security deposit (for damage to the carpet). They don't like it, but it's in the rental agreement!

If your landlord doesnt have a maximum size, do what I did and just get bigger tanks and figure out which fish you can combine with each other

Although this topic is interesting, not one post within the 3 pages has anything to do with a hybrid...

Actually, in the first post I mentioned my mini piebald project which began with marble con/kkp.
