Hey guys I haven't been here in a bout a month and with in that time of not having a computer my WC Nic jags begane breeding. Their first batch was unsuccessful because the male didn't fertilize them. hopefully this batch will be successfull as they seem more prepared and almost all the eggs have turned brown and are fertilized!!!! Here are some pics for you guys.

Hey Cross good to see you back. The Jags are looking great and man that's a lot of eggs. They're all brown too. Do you have a place to separate some of the fry if/when you get some? You're bound to get some kick-ace F-1's out of those two.

If those fry turn out as good looking as their parents, then ker-ching!! You are in for some $$$$$$$ ......!!

yea I have a 20 and a 10 setup and ready to go all cycled and everything. Also I am raising some infusoria for their first meal as well as brine shrimp soon to come when they get a tiny bit bigger. Then they will be onto bloodworm and Hikari First Bites. Thanks for the reply Balton!

Its cool to see some "new blood" coming into the hobby for jags. The few I have seen locally must have been from a fish farm puppy mill type thing. Just didnt look right and not so great markings etc. But F1 genes would produce some stunners.

:headbang2 That is awesome! There has to be 2000+ eggs there. I wish I had a 240 or 300 gallon tank..... :woot:

my god thats a butt load of eggs

Thanks guys very much. I am not too worried about the pleco because he didn't eat the last batch of eggs they had and he is super nice for an 18" Pleco. Usually they get mean and nasty but hes cool with everyone. Plus I don't think the Jags will have any trouble guarding their babies. Though If my Barred Midas gets through the divider there might be a little trouble.
