Thanks guys. Voss I don't think he will hold them for me because he is going on a collecting trip and needs the tank space as I do too. There has been a bad update right now. I thought my pleco would be fine in the tank with them as he never ever bothered eggs before and anyother fish but turns out he had a snack and I am left with about half of the fry, which are now moved in their own tank for growout. I left the fry with the parents for a little over a week and they seemed to just not care about them anymore so out they went. Now it seems the female wants the breed again soon probably within 2 or 3 weeks I'll have some more fry. Her belly has been getting a little fatter since 4 days ago. Oh and I left about 20 fry in the main tank to see if that keeps them male at bay with trying to mate again.
Can anyone help me with this though. My male ever since they laid eggs will not eat pellets. I have tried everything going with a week and half stretch of not giving him anything else except pellets I tried freezing bloodworms over the pellets to see if he would eat them that way but nothing if he sees pellets he looks away. The only thing he will eat as of now is Jumbo Krill and brine shrimp cubes. He actually races up to the top and wacks the female out of the way for the krill. So any ideas to get him back on the cheaper stuff lol? I know how to cure the problem but he is just such a stubborn fish when it comes to pellets he used to eat them all the time.
Another thing babies are turning out to be very aggro already. I have some in a 20 long gallon and some in a 10 but will be getting another 40 breeder for free for some of them as well so they have a little more space. I have been watching them and they have been chasing each other around and fighting over food even though there is enough around them to eat lol and they are only 1/6-1/4" long!!!
