WC Regiment for monster tanks

I connect a siphon to a long hose and siphon out 30% of the water out to the lawn, and i have a bathroom sink not to far away so i just hook the hose to the sink faucet and put water back into my tank... and every once in a while, i'll add NovAqua water conditioner to the water that is being put back into the tank.

50% weekly on 300 gal tank. 25% daily on grow out tank. change it with a python.

i just fill the plastic trashcans that hold 55 galllons with a hose and put in some old gravel; wait 3 days and then use it. easy as that

What's up with the old gravel?
