This is a champsochromis indeed, but I wonder if this really is a trout cichlid
Trout cichlid == Champsochromis Careuleus
But with the teardrops it looks more like a Champsochromis Spilorhyncus

Are you sure???

This is a female trout cichlid that I found on some website...

it got tear drop too

They look like C.Caerulius to me and unless you have a nice sized tank they will eventually chase and fight each other untill one becomes more dominant.Thats what has always happened with me as they are my favorite of the Africans and I have tried different situations over time with them.I even had a male kill off a female.The Spilorhincus also has a teardrop as juvies but thier body is shaped differently.

Well the ones on the photo you posted have some clear teardrops where you won't see them as well as the Caeruleus. The one at the back also sports a lot of striping like my Spilorhynchus do. No Caeruleus fry I raised up till now had that striping.

If these are real Wildcaught Spilorhynchus you have one of the rarest Malawi Haps in the hobby.

This is a photo of my Spilorhynchus Juveniles, I am sorry to say that I have no juvenile photo's of my Caeruleus
