+1 it's illegal in Utah and putting a petroleum product in a lake or stream is a horrible idea.

Hello; An additional use for the list is to help start small engines. If my lawn mowers or two stroke outboards do not stat a spray of WD-40 into the intake will often get them going.

I found WD-40 in a gallon can at a local stores (Tractor Supply,Lowes, Home Depot). I get small spray bottles to keep it in for various uses. This is a less expensive way to use it and the spray bottles can be refilled.

A friend also used it to spray his various guns from time to time. I have done this also but wipe the parts down after and use a specified gun lubricant and protectant such as Hoppes Gunmetal Polish or similar metal polish such as weanol.

Hi,
WD40 by the gallon!!? That's pretty hardcore! Reminds me of Hank Hill even keeping some "dubya dee 40" in his travel kit :D

Not sure about #32 either.
Tried it last night and holly molly... my mirror was cloudy haha! Results when I get home from work Lol

Hello; It keeps well and i do not have to use the aerosol one use cans. I also have used it for decades.

One thing to keep in mind is that i do not think it is a good long term lubricant. If I use it to clean something that needs lube, I will use some other lubricant after.

hi
I agree. IME, WD 40 shines best when used somewhere you are either trying to prevent rust, or working with something that may have already rusted. I've always wondered about the distributor cap thing, but never had a chance to test it out.
