I would say eat what you want but please don't advertise so much about it. Its really sad to see poor turtle being slaughtered like that.
Turtles have always been special to me. I remember one weekend my heater malfunctioned and actually cooked my turtle while I was at a friend's house. Although I've never eaten a turtle, I at least have to admit to cooking a turtle once.
I understand that other nations have different ways of living, but cultural relativism is an empty and illogical doctrine. The hard sciences around morality are based on suffering, and the turtle was probably treated no worse than an animal being slaughered anywhere else.
I love turtles, and seeing this made me quesy, but I am glad my life has provided me with the requisite maturity enough to recognize this as simply a personal sensibility.

Guys, you really are taking this to at heart, there are plenty of ppl in the US that eat turtle, yes they may of went the wrong way about it, but it is natural to eat meat. Ppl eat rabbit, squirel, turtle, bear, deer, fish. Eating turtle is really not a bad thing and it isn't only in other countries or with other nationalities.
How many of you have a problem with ppl fishing then eating the fish? You know in order to eat it is skinned right...is that wrong?

I remember when my dad skinned a rabbit in front of some of my French exchange students they were all protesting and they kept saying "No, No, No" ...but nobody argued after my mom cooked it with a nice white wine to give it a little bit more flavour. I think I barely got a piece.
