Camel spiders (more accurately windscorpions) are fairly common. Here we have Eremobates docolora in Southeastern Alberta.
They can be found throughout much of southern and western U.S., Mexico and southwestern Canada. I always wanted to see one in Alberta, but I have not gotten any luck finding them. Although there are reports around the Medicine Hat area... along with Northern Scorpion, Prairie Rattlesnake and Western Hognose Snake...
