about 10 of the eggs have turned from a clear foggy color to a somewhat solid white color.. what happend? is it progress or have those eggs gone bad?

They may not be fertile. New parents sometimes don't get it right. If they are bad, the parents will eat them. Eating bad or dead eggs is a way of protecting the good eggs from fungus, etc.

i need a better tank divider, where can i find eggcrates? loews and home depot? what part of the store.. the people working there had no idea what i was talkin about.

It is for light fixtures, Just ask where they stock the replacment lenses for 2'x4' flouresent light fixtures.

IF the eggs are fertilized get them out now, I had a pair of jags that ended up eating their babies their first time spawning, I should have taken them out but then again I had no space for them so no big deal. about 30 or so hatched and slowly disappeared within the week.

well the batch of eggs dont look too good, some missing and a lot of them turned a white color and like fungus growin on it i think. guess they never got fertilized? hope its better next time.

If the eggs are white, they are dead. I dealt with this when my angel fish spawned. Eventually all my eggs died. Now I am waiting for them to spawn again.
Good Luck!!

out of the hundreds of eggs i have about 15-20 survivors :headbang2 .. what do i do!? how do i care for them? now theyre just lil squirmy things swimming in place on the gravel. my cousin told me something about using the yolk of a hard boiled egg and smooshing it up to feed the fry. what do i do?

thanks

Dunno what others think but i'd probably let the parents do their thing this time and probably the second time too and see how they go.... let them learn from their mistakes, may get better and better batches in the future.
