update . today i came home noticed most of the eggs were missing i thought they were eaten then i looked on the side of were i put the air hose for the eggs and saw the wigglers . i hope the rest of the eggs hatch soon

lol . i've tried to breed firemouths about 6 times before this , first i bought some from petco that ended up killing each other then the surviver got killed by my convicts. then i bought a bunch of juvies from aqua bid and ended up giving them away cause my convicts were killing them one by one . then i got a few from petland in the bronx and they never spawned just stayed hidden most of the time . then i got some more from a different petland and they fought with the others that i had and eventually died from ick . after a while i gave up until now . i lucked out when i traded dispatch273 3 firemouths (my pair now and a younger male)for some circulation pumps and found out that i got a paired that were already paired.
