wow, this kinda turned into a flame war hasn't it? jason, please don't feel like you've been singled out here. nobody has it out for you, and we like to see lots of participation on this board. all suggestions are appreciated. in this case i agree with the moderators that the site is pretty well rounded for the users it targets. you can always ask any specific questions regarding plants in the general fishkeeping forum, and i'm sure you will get help. but seriously jason, there really is no need to get aggressive towards ANYONE here in this forum. since i've been here, everyone has been very courteous and respectful toward one another. it's one of the things that makes this place better than others. people will help you if you ask the questions. but it's not too cool to come off all salty at the admin for not agreeing with you. yes, Ed was a little short in his answer, but not disrespectful. some of the forums here are pretty general. there is pretty much a place to post anything. and like you, i found that there are some things that this forum doesn't offer. so i look to other forums for those things. you don't need to join a lot of forums, just one for each thing you are interested in. if it really is a waste of time for you to jump around to different forums, then perhaps the information that you seek isn't really that important to begin with.

my suggestion (this is the suggestion forum :) ) is that this thread be locked. this point of this thread appears to have been addressed.
 
Hiro, the disagreement w/Jason on this site goes deeper than this thread.

Lisa, you are totally fine w/your statement, Jason needs to figure out that NOBODY goes to just one forum. When I want saltwater advice, as I am new to it, I go to a Nano-reef.com forum. When I want to find out more about my FH hobby, I go to www.flowerhornUSA.com. I dont ask here to see if by some chance someone knows.

Jason is also offended that I have pointed out Google to him. Well, posting here and waiting for a response that may or may not come is a huge waste of time, when Google is always there. It's the Easiest and the most accessable tool in the world to use, and yet Jason has no use for it, apparently.

If Jason has a problem w/me, he can leave. We have always run this forum as a friendly, but PROFESSIONAL community. If he does not understand that, there are many sites, like www.fishforums.net that are very general about fishkeeping. They have a great photogallery, I am a member there also.

This thread is now locked as there is no point to continuing it.
