We should all be rich by keeping aros

Its not just about monetary gains. Its true, the average chinese citizen in china are dirt poor, but they are rich in the sense of family.

Almost all of them, family wise that is are very close. They all live within the same community of each other. They tend to have a large family, expanding generations. Why is it that most asians, even dirt poor..live longer than americans? Aside from diet, they believe in "luck" or feng shui. Myth or not, it has been working for their culture for thousands of years, way before our time.

Granted, now that its in america, a lot of unscrupulous people will try to make a profit off of it. Just like anything else, if there is a buck to be made, it will be. Remember, to many other cultures, aside from the chinese, AMERICA is the land of opportunity.

There are some real feng shui people that do not charge outrageous prices for a consultation, while some will. A lot of my friends believe it that, and whats funny when you have an non-asian do a feng shui consultation they always talk about money.

A friend of mine paid some "dopey" lady 2000 bucks for a consultation and didn't get any results. Now that was going on about a year, and his wife's sister's husband, a chinese guy laughed at him, and said he got taken in. This guy hooked him up with a "real" if you want to call it that feng shui reader, and redid my friends house for about 300 bucks, and it has proven (according to my friend) to help his luck or "chi" out.

This is all going back 8 years ago, and after the 2nd feng shui, his wife's cancer has been in remission ever since. Myth or no? I don't know, its how you want to look at it.

Some people believe in voodoo, santareia (sp?), exorcisims..etc...it can all be just the power of suggestion, but knock these beliefs to the believers..get ready for some ass whooping..:grinno: :naughty:

Hell, I know guys that still carry a rabbit's foot for over 40 years. Try to take that away from them and they'll kill ya.

Well said. Feng shui is not my thing, but can't knock others' beliefs. Either way though, if my aro's going to bring me good luck, that's just an added bonus. I'll keep them either way.

Thanx.

Everyone has their own quirks and beliefs, and if everyone overlooked that, we'd all get along. :grinno:

I'm sorry for coming across strong, I'm not into the arowana superstition and Feng Shui, but I do find it's interesting and I do know people that take it seriously. It's just a cool lookin fish with a neat history, no reason to argue, this isn't the purpose hear.

Merry Christmas, all the best!:)

AROWANAS BRING WEALTH???????????? Do you have any idea how much money I spent on feeding my Aro before the TSN swallowed him. I see no return on this investment. I must seek financial council immediately.
