You gave them chicken? Like raw chicken breast? I have mine on a rotating diet of talipia fillet, blood worm, brine shrimp, silverside. The only staple in their diet right now is the tropical flakes which i give them at the end of every feeding. They've also had a round of crickets just for kicks. They do a feeding frenzy on everything even though I'll put more then one in at a time, they still pick off one at a time except the talipia and flakes.

One of the stupid LFS was suppose to call me when they got some reds in, i stopped by yesterday to see if they had any butterfly fish and low and behold, there's a thick beautiful coloration single red belly in a tank. They want 60 bucks for it. It's maybe 4.5 inchs. That's the most i've ever seen someone asking for for that size. Then he tried to convince me to add it to my shoal even though it's got a huge size advantage. It's not much longer then my biggest 2, but it's definetely thicker.

oooh nice...yeah raw chicken...I froze it first, then dethaw and feed....i'm gunna do beef heart too...good beefy meal haha

Gotta try (almost) everything atleast once right? I don't see anything wrong with what you're feeding your's. They getting less skittish yet? I was watching a hand feeding vid in the media section. Something like that might make your's feel more comfortable around you. Mine already associate me approaching the tank as feeding time.
They are beginning to get a little less skittish now, hopefully it will continue to get better.
