Cant wait to see the new website. I'm looking big FW snails, like really BIG ones. So if you have anything like that I'll be one of your first customers.

unfortunately, the really big snails are on the federal plant pest list. I cannot bring them in, nor can I ship them so I don't carry them for sale. They are voracious plant eaters. You would have to find them in your state to get them legally. I know flaringshutter had them and she is in cali.

you know anybody who has them(and sells them) here in PA?

no i don't. I used to, but stopped carrying them when I started importing as USDA/Aphis could seize my shipments.

I can vouch for the voracious appetites these guys have... i bought one around 3 years ago and chucked it into one of my semi planted tanks... all was good the thing was no bigger than a zebra snail when i got it and eating all the algae off everything including the plants which i thought was great...

Then i one day noticed it started eating some of the shrimp pellets, which i didn't really think much about at the time, but as time passed i started noting it was getting pretty big, FAST... then i think maybe less than a month after owning it when all the algae was gone, i woke up to a tank of nothing but stems... and i mean literally stems not leaves of any sort left...

So if you do get your hands on one, i would say make sure to keep it extremely well fed... unless your tank has no live plants...

Sorry for the rant... but yeah... needless to say, i sold it off to the shop i got it from and that was the end of it... although i must admit, i'm now thinking of keeping another one for my 200G...

i thought they were legal if they were in state lines? dang i want one. would be nice addition(maybe if it didnt get attackd) with my gar. I dont think they would screw with them. Wonder who else might know......

they are legal to keep but I ship a TON. If they even suspected me of selling them, they can seize what they want. Not likely to happen, but not worth the risk for me.

oh that makes since. too bad. maybe a nerite would do.... hmmm..... That one i do know who has available. lol
