Hey, so livefoodcultures.com is defunct now. Here's the waybackmachine for it:

Also Sachs Aquaculture Systems went out of business, but the WayBackMachine is here to save the day:

Here's one site which is probably one of the most complete and detailed aquarium-related sites I have ever seen:

This guy seems to know his stuff, and more importantly, he actually examines and dissects some of the ridiculous claims and statements that are commonly seen on the internet. His in-depth analysis of the Biocenosis Clarification Basket denitrification filter that is so often touted as the next big thing in aquaristics is wonderful to read. I never had any use for the made-up quasi-scientific gobbledy-gook terminology that Novak (the BCB guru) sprinkles liberally throughout his sales spiels; reading this site points out all those inaccuracies and more.

But this site covers just about all aspects of aquaristics in a readable, intelligent style while imparting a ton of useful information. It's a pleasure to read through, and I can honestly say that I have never read anything on here that caused me to rear back and exclaim "Well, that's obviously BS!"...and I tend to do that a lot, so...:)
