I went to look for the Washington regulations and the top link ( http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish-sh.htm ) is no longer valid. I could not find where on the site anything about catching natives and keeping them.

Anyone else know where to find Washington's regs regarding this?

"It is illegal to transport, introduce, or use prohibited aquatic
animal and plant species in the state. WDFW encourages
citizens to be vigilant in preventing the introduction or
spread of prohibited and other non-native species. To report
sightings and learn more about what you can do, please call
(360) 902-2700 or visit http://wdfw.wa.gov/conservation/
fi sheries_management/ and click on the “Aquatic Nuisance
Species” link."

Directly pulled from the licensing pamphlet, but just covers invasives. I still don't know about holding or transporting non-invasive sport fish, ie: green sunfish or bluegill.

Anyone?

Some of the links are likely broken, I wrote that up some years ago. I realize a lot of those places only contain fishing regulations but it is a start. Many states don't have easy to access regulations regarding native fish keeping because so few people do it. If you want specific regulations that cannot be found on the DNR site try contacting someone through it.

The link for Louisiana doesn’t work. Nothing about keeping natives on the state website. I bought 25 LMB’s, 25 Black Crappie, 25 BG Sunfish and three pound of Flathead Shiners from Arkansas Pondstockers. I don’t think ship fish but they deliver to different feed stores. http://www.arkansaspondstockers.com/ 1-800-843-4748. I’ve been told to just keep my recept, if anyone ask.
