There is a knowlegde of wealth from this forum, i am still learning stuff and probably will till the day i die, awesome forum, thanks MFK!!!!!I have been to other forums and some of the things that i have read is just to stupid to believe, that is why you have to look around and judge for yourself.
BRING THEM ALL TO MFK!!!!

lol, that's why fish sites other than MFK shouldn't exist

I agree. I bought my first ray about 4 months ago on the advice of the owner a LFS who said I could keep my motoro in my 90 gallon tank for a couple years. He also told me an aro would be fine in there. I feel like an idiot for not checking it out first, but he never steered me wrong before, and I have been keeping other fish, mostly assorted cichlids and discus, for years successfully, mostly bought from his store. I wanted to try something new, and thought this would be no problem. Now, i have a 12" motoro and a 14" silver aro in a 90 gallon tank. I love my ray and aro, and Ive been reading up on them ever since I got them and I am very interested in keeping these animals and more like them in the future, but I am trying to save up some cash obviously to get a larger tank before its too late. Hopefully I will be able to afford a 96x30x30, maybe a 96x48x30, in like a year. Want to stock that tank with some more rays (leo's, another motoro, and a pearl), maybe a few peacock bass, and the aro. Gonna cost an arm and a leg, but after seeing this site, looks like learning about and caring for these animals is well worth it. Till then its just weekly water changes (not that Im going to stop weekly water changes after getting the larger tank) and reduntant filtration, and hopefully they will be alright for the aro and motoro for now. Wish me luck
