I downloaded it, but it says I have no network to accept openDNS settings. Help?

ewurm.. sign up on the opendns website and in there go to Settings, SetUp a DynamicIP , and put a check mark on " Enable Dynamic IP Update " , then hit save.

You should be able to run that software afterwards.

Chaitika - Youre welcome!

kendog , any questions , just post it here.

zenzzo - so how is it working for you ? I have had no problems with it and thats why i want to share it to our members.

cassharper - DNS cache on openDNS is one of the largest in the world. ;)
But glad to hear you have the skillz. :headbang2

It absolutly cuts my load times down...

as I understand, it directs your internet traffic through that DNS number...a more direct route so to say...

Your DNS request goes through them instead of using your ISP for DNS requests. Since they have the largest DNS Cache and they have several datacenters ( bigger than most ISP's) DNS requests are resolved quickly.

So this translates to web pages popping up faster instead of waiting as soon as you hit the enter button.

finally did this and yup, i noticed a big difference in my load time. I have AT&T DSL and while it isnt slow, it wasnt super fast either. i can honestly say that web pages pop up instantly after following these steps.

thx redtail!! :headbang2
