how does everyone in here weigh down the top of your tanks to help prevent the aro from jumping out?

i was thinking.... do you think velcro could hold down the top? like a strip of velcro on each side of the tank, and then on the lid. Velcro's strong, and if your aro jumped, the lid would pull the velcro sidewise so it would be EXTREMELY hard to seperate.

i think a bag of gravel or sand is a better idea than rock or brick. if the aro ever broke the glass top, the bag of gravel is less likely to crack your tank bottom.
i dont see why velcro isnt used more often. its so readily available now adays. and its wont look to unsightly on the side of your tank
Just use thicker glass for the tops, the glass on my 240 is heavy and my 20-22" aros just bounce right off
Above glass top I place a piece of 2"thick foam that's as long as the tank with 5 lb weights on each side.
well i plan on using egg crate to cover my tank so i need something good to weigh it down. velcro and a weight on each end sounds good.
