^ Yeah i got VERY lucky, i measured my lift doors before i bought my tank, and when it arrived it literally just fit in the lift with a piece of carpet and very slowly easing it in...
But yeah, i almost had to have a window removed to get a crane setup to hoist my tank into my apartment which wouldn't have been fun...
The other option is, (although not sure if they will do it in the US) is to buy a custom tank, and have the company assemble the tank inside of your apartment... i know over here this is common practice for people who want larger tanks that if built would not fit in their lifts / staircases...
