Weight Gaining Issues

Worms and pellets, fastest way to put weight on a ray. If your rays won't eat pellets, you can stuff pellets into worms and feed them those. You should see results in a couple weeks if you power feed. By power feed I mean feed them 2-3 times a day until they refuse food. Make sure your biologoal filtration can handle all the waste though...
It can handle the ammonia and nitrite. Prob not the nitrates.

That's what your water changes, drip and or plants are for if you have plants in your system.

well of course. Im actually thinking of redoing my filtration... I just dont know how without interrupting the filtration process. I am thinking of actually building another Moving bed filter. i only have the issue of the interruption of filtration. I currently using bioballs and some ceramic media. I want to switch to a moving bed filter and putting in a algae scrubber.

As it was mentioned, stuff your shrimp/tilapia with massiviore pellets. By far the fastest way for your Ray or any fish for that matter to put on weight. A massiviore pellet has the same amount of calories as 2 goldfish. when you are feeding just shrimp or tilapia, once the water is taken out of the food, there is actually very little food left it that makes sense. Think of it as jerky, once dehydrated there isn't much left. By stuffing your shrimp with massiviore they are getting multiple times the nutrition and calories than they normally would. I can put 4 massiviore pellets in a shrimp easily and my Rays will crush them. Try it and you will see results quickly.
