So we all know that massive tanks on upper floors without specialized support is a no-no, but are there any guidelines for having a bunch of smaller tanks? I'm going to be moving to a new apartment soon (I have about a month to find one), and trying to figure out how many tanks I can actually have.

Assuming I can't do any bracing of floor joists, the largest tank I can imagine going with safely is a 75G. Would 5 of them be too much if I spaced them out along the walls? I have MTS baaaad, and the only reason I want a house at some point is so I can have more/bigger tanks...

any opinions?

I'd like to say 1, 75g (preferably 55g, unless you are sure of the architecture) on each wall is the max you would want to go bro.......dont risk a catastrophy...............easpecially if you will be renting...........unless it will ba a ground floor (cement beased unit)..........

If you havent found a place yet seek out a basement or concrete floor apartment.more than 75g in an upstairs room is risky if you dont know the construction of the place

dito, I got a basement appartment, and i have two indoor ponds plus several aquariums! no worries the landlord let me take a core sample of the exsisting foundation and it is like 1 1/2' thick concrete with rocks mixed in! Seems like I could actually upgrade if I wanted to!
