It was a frozen shrimp(raw) from some Chinese store. I just dethawed it and took out the shell, then dropped it. I heard some people feeding aro chicken breast, but mine would bit it then spit out. (so i guess it just the aro's preference or something) If you really want him to eat shrimp then i guess you could starve him a bit then try the shrimp again. btw i forgot to mention that you got a nice set up.

well so far on my shimp diet mission, i am letting some nightcrawlers climb all over the shrimp(in the fridge). also i have found that my aro is lazy, ie. it will not chase any food to the bottom of the tank. so to battle this, i took a small fish hook and cut all of the barb and all but the very slightest of the curve off. this allows me to slide food onto it, and the fish easily remove it. basically i have a "skewer with a fish line".




helps to keep food at the top
 
I'm feeding Beefheart Mix to my Jardini & its really showing good results. Excellent growth. Occasionally drop fresh market shrimps also.
 
You dont need to do 25% water change twice for your tank. Once will be good enough. As for what to feed, you can try buying fresh shrimps from the market and deshell them before feeding rather than those which are already processed. I have tried those processed one and my aros doesnt like them at all.
 
thanks for all the help and where can i get beefheart and what do i do with the nightcrawlers to make them good will like fishing nich crawlers work thnaks
