Weird clown loach

It's a 300 tall, so 30" deep...I was wanting a 30" wide but I can't fit it.

I liked the height though, although I am glad I don't have gravel so I don't have to vacuum all the time.

Awesome horde you have there. :)

My loaches always come to the top for food, then forage in the sand at the bottom once everything up top is gone.
 
:iagree: I have 9 loaches, about 1.5 - 3 inches that always come up for food and then forage through the gravel once done. They are all very curious and explore all over the tank.
 
I've never dropped in a whole zucchini like that but I might try it now. As for the weird feeding, not only to mine feed on the surface, but every so often I'll catch them hanging out upside down on the bottom of my floating logs like they're on the sand. They seem to know when I'm trying to get a pic of it though cause they always move before hand.
 
i feed my CL the same thing i feed my reef tank... a home made blend of clams/scallops/shrimp/cod... and then i froze and cubed it... so i hold a cube in the water until it starts to soften and squeeze it gently then they will literally come between my fingers and eat off the cube..
 
I've seen the same thing. I have a group of 9, they will come up to the top and also forage on bottom for food. When I only had a few they would just stay along the bottom.
