Weird Convict

One of my albino convicts is always lying on his side on the tank floor. He only swims when it's feeding time. He seems healthy when he's swimming in his normal way but after he's done feeding, he will go back to that position until the next feeding time.

I don't understand this behavior at all. My other 2 convicts are active and always swimming around. I've had this convicts for 6 months now but I haven't seen this behavior before. :help2:

How about some pics? What are your water parameters and tank size? Whats your waterchange schedule? Sounds like it could be a water quality issue to me.

Could it still be water parameters when the rest of my fish are doing fine? The weird one seems quite healthy when he's swimming around looking for food.

I'll check the water params just to make sure. I have a 75 Gal tank with 4 piranhas, 4 silver dollars, and 3 convicts. They all seem fine and healthy. Even the weird one seems healthy even though he likes to hang out sideways on that one spot in the tank.

That's quite possible. He's always staying in that one spot flat on his side. I'll try to take a picture of him today.

I've had him for 6 months. I go for 'what'.
 
well let's just say the petco/smart I go to, I find fish DEAD, DYING or wishing they were DEAD/bought. great you had him for 6 months, you def don't have a DEAD fish.

I've seen fish naturally lay on their side and nothing was wrong with them, maybe you just have a retarded fish.
