This is in the wrong section it is not a crab but a insect. It is actually a kind of cave scorpion. Not sure which one exactly though.

not the spider crab...It looked like a rock, and had stubby walking legs.
The arms are like that when they arn't folded up though.

No, Its not a tazanian tailless whip scorpion.
I used to have one. I was just saying it LOOKS like one, with stubby legsand camouflage.
And lives in saltwater.

Anyone know the species on this?
No picture, but it looked like a rock, the body was about as big as a quarter with arms that were 6'' stretched out, and were kept folded at it's side. short stubby legs, with wicked fish hook claws.
Looked like the crab version of this..with stubby legs.

LOL I got it Jeox, there are a number of spider ((Majidae) and purse/longarm (Leucosiidae) crabs that match that description. I had one just like you describe, you'll have a devil of a time positively IDing it....

It's at a store on hold.
It's $40 so im just trying not to get ripped off.

Looks like the portly spider, but has MASSIVE front arms.
