Ok so have anyone have this effect on their flowerhorns when there is no light and pitch black for a couple hour...and then turn it back on and the flowerhorns eyes are white and stress bar are maybe showing ..
Anyone experience this before
Cause me alot of shock and worry :irked:

This happens with every fish.

All fish do that lol. They are sorta trying to "blend in" with their surroundings. So to speak.

That means they are sleeping and you should let them sleep. When fish sleeps, they go into a whole lot of color change. This is normal, don't worry about it.

Hmmm Then mines never sleeps then cause I turn on lights then go to sleep, wake up and turn off :l

I Recently added a tank mate and well its a greengill(greenxbulegill sunfish) 4"
and its getting :owned: by the Mighty Red Dragon :D anyways
Imma stay up late and see if the new mate attack fh when it get its chance.. If it does ... Imma do what ppl do to the live fish at the market..;)
Below was the moments the sunfish got a break :l

Fish need darkness to sleep they have no eye lids, it is important to their pysiological wellbeing and over health for them to be able to sleep. Having the lights off during the day is not enough. Turn the lights off at night or put them on a timer.

Man Plan change ..how about
turn them on at afternoon then turn off at midnight :D OHh imma go look for timer :l

I usually rarely turn on the lights at all for mine. I only turn it on to take picture or if someone wants to look at my fish. The lights is just to help see it clearer. I leave it natural lighting for my fish from morning till night. Sleep is crucial to your fish potential also.
And with that sunfish, man...It'll do good in my deep fry pan. :D
