Man from all these years i have kept fish that wasn't getting sleep :l
All good, we all picked up something new each day(I think). Just change the lighting plans. I guess you can call it safe to turn lights on from 9 am - 8 pm. That would be my plan if I'm going to turn on the lights.

Ehhh I will do what you do let the natural lighting (Right now The sun is hot in Texas >.< Barely can go outside unless go to swimming pool) Then turn on when the sun is like clear off then turn off when going to sleep :D

Sounds great, just keep the air conditioner on if you still have the heater and avoid direct sun light. I still have my heater in even though it hits high 90s into triple digit here. I'm too lazy to take it out and put it back in every weather season. :D

I turn my off when I got to bed because with two snake tanks and a fish tank? My room would be like I never turned off my light if I kept them all on.

wow. I just realized where I put my tank i can no longer open the left side of my closet... darnit. lol

I Recently added a tank mate and well its a greengill(greenxbulegill sunfish) 4"
and its getting :owned: by the Mighty Red Dragon :D anyways
Imma stay up late and see if the new mate attack fh when it get its chance.. If it does ... Imma do what ppl do to the live fish at the market..;)
Below was the moments the sunfish got a break :l

What a stupid idea. If you caught that fish and didn't deworm/treat it for parasites it can and will pass something on to your flowerhorn. The sunfish should be kept in cooler temperatures and the flowerhorn kept in warmer. The flowerhorn is going to kill the sunfish eventually.

Hm yeah...
Ikr dam heater almost cooked my Fh O.o

This person has another thread to ID this fish they took out of a pond/lake
which to me is a VERY stupid idea. but oh well.

But what I would say to do is turn the light off at night time because they get light in the day anyways, so whats the point of turning it off in the day and on at night?

Let me tell you something here. I find a whole bunch of stuff on that sticky false. Flowerhorns don't even need any lighting, they only need enough to see, eat, and do whatever every flowerhorns does.
And yes, introducing that fish into it like that can end in a disaster sooner or later. Unless you don't care about your flowerhorn if it died or not. Hehehehe...:D
