Weird eyes on parrot

My parakeet is weird too, but just in behavior. There’s nothing wrong with her.
I guess I might as well ask a few more questions:
If I got the cichlid about 8 months ago at about two inches and it is 3-4 now, is it growing right?
Is there a way to tell gender without venting, like slight differences or behaviors between males and females?
Is it possible it paired with my Severum (I know they can’t actually breed), because they spend a lot of time together?

Wow! Good info FINWIN. Never knew that parrots had those kinds of pupils. Clicked on this thread thinking it was a parrot meaning the bird. My mom's an ornithologist, so naturally, I know a lot about birds lol.

Yeah if you check out my tank pics thread you'll see a lot of my 4 parrots. Two have 'regular' eyes, one has sleepy eyes, and one has huge eyes. All of them tilt their eyes in different directions its pretty funny.

Pretty decent, I'd say...some parrots are slow growers some grow fast. Water changes and food are the key, especially in smaller tanks. Their size range runs from 6-10 inches (you might get an outlier giant). KKPs can get to a foot+.

Thanks, have be seen some of the huge ones at the lfs. They were 10 inches.
