welll i came home to find a dead clownknife fish in my filter.... Man i hate it when this type of stuff happens!!!

how long did it take you CK to acclimate to your tank??

Almost as soon as I put him in the tank. He picked a spot in the upper corner, hung his head down and never hid. He was always right there for feedings and was as active during the day as when I shut the lights off. He was always all over the tank, but that spot he initially picked kinda remained his "home base".

I'm sorry. I think it's safe to see we ALL hate when stuff happens. They are supposed to be very sensitive when they're that small/young.

How are your water parameters? Did the Cons get him?

the cons probably had somethin to do with it because every time he would come down to swim.... BOOM!!! there on him and they also have babies so that adds to it!!!

yea cons can be evil! i had an 8" red devil in a 55 with a jack dempsey and another convict. the red devil kept everyone in the corners except for the cons he let the pair have their space! i have heard stories on these forums saying theyve kill 8in oscars!!!

I have a 7" clown knife, I love to watch him eat feeders. He also bottom feeds massivore pellets, I also give him beefheart and bloodworms. It doesn't take long to acclimate these guys, as long as you do it slowly. I put my guy in my tank after about 20 mins.
