Did you recently buy any live plants? Sometimes they still use lead anchors to hold the plants down, its possible there was a small piece of this that fell off, and SDs being the retards they are probably ate it.

Its most likely not this though cuz I don't know why you would put live plants in with a SD. Sorry for your loss.
