thats one of the things i was ganna get for sure. i;ve heard so much about them and haven't given them a try
 
had little 2" pacu's and they would carry them around like dogs with a bone.

The 22" was only fed cichlid pellets, algea waffers, and bloodworms his whole life.

Good luck. Don't fall in love with him unless you have a nice big tank.
 
i haven't but my mom has. i was going to sell him but she wants to keep him and told me she would buythe tank for me.
 
I certainly hope you are selecting the right foods wisely particularly these feeder fish you are using for your oscar and pacu. Feeders are not always the best option. Hikari, Omega, New Life Spectrum and many other food brands should be considered. There is a fine line between nutritional value and human entertainment when you attempt live foods to your fish. Read food sticky threads in this section and then Polypterus forum next. Both forums hold a lot of food nutrition topics.
