When I make partiall WC to my piranha tank I never use dechlor, I just take tap water just as it comes out of the fawcett and my fish never had or have any problem at all, (piranha are hardy bastds).

highly doubt the tap water could be so strong to heal the fish of parasites. If the birchir died for no reason, and micros flashing coincidentally went away at water change, appears to be a water problem rather than parasite problem (which is not to say they don't have a parasite issue). Mine had the anus strings just like yours and did not flash.
