what do you feed you ray? different diet will make the color of different..but its usually like bird poo... it can be hard or soft but it always leaves a soft trail.

This might be a long shot, but are you familiar with what a welks egg case looks like? Well mine (not mine but my rays) look like that after I feed them shrimp and when they are fed worms it looks like bird poo.

Here's a strange response to a strange request. I find fossils of ray droppings where ever I find ray fossils. Do any of these look familiar in your ray tank?

BTW, these were determined to be ray coprolotes (scientific term for fossil s---) by inspection under a microscope. These specimens contain fish scales, worm jaws, and crustacean exoskeleton fragments. These come from Miocene deposits (20 million years old).
