Weirdest FW fish for the home Aquarium

Ok, so which fish do you all consider to be the weirdest, freakish, ugliest, strangest, etc. Freshwater fish that you can keep as a pet?

If someone wanted to create the ultimate WTF tank, who would make the cut?

unfortunately some of the "weirdest, freakish, ugliest, strangest" fish I have seen are some of the goldfish strains out there.

but on a lighter note.... heck yeah,you mean like a full on oddball tank?People always get a kick out of african butterfly fish.....

I thought Red Tail Red Eyed puffers looked very wierd, but i passed on buying one, which i now regret Leaf-fish are certainly unusual
