They are, but they are also not freshwater.

I don't think they are legal to keep as pets.

A tank full of these would redefine the notion of an oddball tank.

They are salt water and no one has been able to keep them alive for very long.

I don't think they are legal to keep as pets.

Paddlefish are legal to keep in most states. For the most part, store-bought hatchery-sold fry are legal. In most states, they're illegal to keep alive if caught on tackle (stupid law).

And, anableps are brackish, too. I have 6 in a 150 brack tank.
