Weirdest things that have happened on a fishing trip?

My questions would be why were you on the river, in a kayak, at dusk, in a known bull shark breeding area. That's how people get killed by them the most, trespassing into their territory at the wrong time.

In his defense I think he was just trying to get some fishing in. But I never realized what you just said. Thats a good view on things though.

People get killed here by bulls swimming off their docks at dusk.

I was fishing for the most part of the day, its better fishing here in the afternoon and night and I didn't realise it was getting that late as it was still light.I definitely realised when I got hit though, the one time bullasharks weren't running through my head it happened.

Yes exactly, I know some people in the Northern territory that go out in their Kayaks to fish and brave the bullsharks AND the crocs. Maniacs.

New one to add that happened yesterday night. I threw out my minnow trap which is a frabill I think uploadfromtaptalk1368472947794.jpg
Thats the same trap. I had some extra bread so I threw it in there to catch something to use for bait. After about 20 minutes I grab the trap and pull it in quickly. It was about 10 feet from shore. I get it to shore to find a fat bluegill lodged inside the one funnel. He was about 3" and completely lodged in there. I would have posted pics but I had to remove him. I wish I could have but I couldnt have released him back out so I had to cut him out with my knife. Ill be using him as bait next weekend. At least he didnt go to waste.

I went fishing 10 years ago and saw like 5 police patrol boats next to me from the point over. I drifted that direction and was stopped and asked how long I had been fishing. Told officer less than two hours and then stupidly said why did you find a body or something. He came onto my boat wanted to know everything while two other police boats like circled me. After 45 minutes later of clearing my name I proceeded out of that spot. Watched the news that evening and they found a car with thought to be a body wrapped up in trunk. Apparently after they pulled the vehicle in the trunk was a dead dog in the blankets. Word of advice never tell an officer that since you quickly become a person of interest.
