Wekiwa fishing Part 2

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Definitely a good time. It was fun looking strait down in the water and just picking one out of like five fish to catch and not having to wait more than 30 seconds before it bit. It was like catching fish in a barrel.
I wish we had snagged that 3 footer though! That thing was massive! We were hunting that thing in circles for a good couple hours at least. LOL We were both standing up scanning the water, rowing, and pole ready at the same time. lol Guess that's the reason he was the biggest ( too smart to get snagged).

Btw, Ash I didn't know you caught a pike yesterday. Too big for the fish tank but it would be a nice addition.

I will have to check with the wife on the date, but I know she is thinking late Feb, Early March. I might only be able to go for one day.

Are you saying to ask Nick, for some kind of receptacle, to be shipped to you, then be shipped by him, Ap-AP? PM me if you want. Thanks Chomp...Any chance we can set-up some cave-diving? I could probably get another 24 hour clearance from the warden...lmao

A fish shipper is just a box with a styrofoam lining inside for thermal protection. A bag is then placed inside for water proofing. Since you are going to be here in the early Spring (middle of Winter for everywhere else :D ), you will need heat packs. Since there is plenty of time, I can probably come up with the shipper.

I'm not cave certified (if that's what you really meant), but there are plenty of cave/cavern dives that don't require cave certification. If I recall our conversation correctly from yesterday, Ash and Chris aren't cave certified either. Btw, you will have to have an open water certification card when you check in.

When are you coming? It would be cool if you were here at the same time as spizz so we could have a big fishing party :headbang2

When is he coming?

Chompers,
Can I come over and use one of your saws to cut some stuff for my sump.....?
Call me on my cell. ( I called but it went to voicemail) I'm on my way out the door to do a couple things and can swing by. Wouldn't mind seeing how those bowfins are doin' to.

I could have sworn about a year ago, we talked about cave diving, through PM. I used to be certified to scuba dive, but that was like 15 years ago...lol. Yes, spelunking is what I was referring to...Sending PM...
