nice little guy you got there , i just got my first aimara recently too 
i see your in the USA not sure if you know already but you can also use oak leaves i was able to fill a bag full a few days ago that had fallen last year just rince them of first . they sink after about a day and add lots of tannins to the water too .

Dark on purpose. 3 ac110s with mag8 powerhead. Two pieces of decoration for hiding and low light. I've covered the gaps of the lids. Do I need to weigh down the lids? There is a 2-3in gap from the water to top for now.

Well managed to last a week
Got him to eat silversides. Had to leave them overnight but they were gone in the morning. Hopefully get this guy eating well soon so he can put on some size.
