awsome fish...i know people dont really like to be asked what did he run ya $ but what did he run ya $...lol, becides the amount caught in the wild what makes them so rare? are they hard to keep or just not alot of them in the wild?

There are only two people in the world that collect them and they are dive partners. Around 12 only get collected per year and all get sent to japan. They are caught in 400+FT of water. Since they are found so deep they command a high price. I won't say the price but it put's the gem tang price to shame.

very beautiful Holanthias Fuscipennis are you quarantining him at all or dipping him? also I saw your picture of the acclimation with the rabbit wire great idea to use so he don't jump out while he's acclimating. What website you buy him from? And, thanks for sharing his picture.

No i don't QT my fish. Esp a fish as rare as him. If your tank is perfect and he's the only fish in there so there is really no reason why the fish should be QTed. I got the fish from the guy who caught him there for i don't have to worry about the fish being sick from sharing a 20G tank with 2342 other fish at the wholesalers lol.

That's a different anthias. Same kind of body but different markings.
