I would get a new heater, last thing you need is for it to stick on. Then all you will have is some cooked Firemouths and Dempseys.

well the temp has ben 74 to 76 almost 78 since last nite... my firemouths dig a big pit under teh clayot so is that normal???

well good news, teh temps are at 78 to 80 almost 80 tho. and my heater is working again.

The second a heater starts to fluctuate in temps and has eratic 'spasms', grab a new heater before you wind up with a tank full of fish belly up.
