yeah i have to cycle a 2000g pond next year and if it works ill just pee in it twice daily (save some money that way @least) good luck on tryin to get people to be nice here we all can be jerks
Although it does sound gross, It may work. The main draw back that I see it the extra chemicals that are eliminated from the human body through urine. Also the fact that there are alot of fatty acids and protiens in urine that will have a very heavy load on the biofilter.

heard of it being done...Should be fine...means you're dipping your hands in your pee constantly though...
Before the availability of bacteria cultures to cycle in a new aquarium, it was normal to pour urine in a tank to get the biofilter started. Albeit, the norm was to use only a couple of milliliters at a time. Not to drain one's bladder into the tank in one dose.
