according to the sticky the polli has 5-7 finlets and the retro has 7-9 finlets

I didn't pay attention to finlet count really, lol. Just mainly where it starts from the body. When theyre small, thin, and washed out. Polli, gold dust, and retro are similar. Where dorsal fin starts is the first thing I look at as an eliminator, then head appearance, then the usual fainted markings

Polli 5-7
Retro 7-9

Yeah as soon as someone says they have a retro I'm like fish it out I wanna see it! If it is I'll take it....it's usually not, lots of Golddust only 1 polli.

I don't own one myself, but this here is a P. Palmas Palmas, with a P. Polli in the background. They're somewhat uncommon compared to many other smalller species, and most fish sold as P. Palmas Palmas are actually P. Polli.

This is an easy find. All Polli below were being sold as moke all over Europe. Here's some of the confusion that needed ID assistance. There's probably a hundred examples of polli online, i.e. fb, instagram, imgrum, reddit, etc..
