I just had a huge scare. I got a bad prime bottle. Lost a lot of fish and every tank I use the bottle on got fungus. My small gator had it, but I found that api fungus cure is gar safe and works. The big scare was I used that bottle on my main gar tank. My smaller trop broke out in a bad fungus and my Cuban did the same. I was freaking out a trop and my Cuban covered in fungus over night. I used about half dose on my system and it cleaned them up. I was nervous as hell dumping meds in with my now 16-17" cuban gar! I have that bottle take out 4x 6-7" atabapo type II pikes in a few days, first fungus, then pick, the a bacterial infection for the kill. It all happened faster then I could react. Lost sleep over the gar tank for a few nights.

I'm glad it worked out for you though. That must have been scary. I can't imagine how worried you were; you have a bunch of prize fish in there!
I'll have to get some new pics up soon. Been busy lately. I put my video of the gar tank up on another website and was prohibited from posting any more videos or pics without blurred backgrounds with a one gar per pic limit. Redonkulous! One kid with no gar knowledge says I am overstocked and I get told I could get fined for animal cruelty. That is a cichlid based site though.

LOL you are over-stocked.. just like 99% of other tanks out there... But sorry to hear about your prime issue! It always sucks whem something like that rips threw your systems. Just glad you managed to save as much as you can! and yes you do need to post up new pics!
I like to say I am under tanked...
that prime was a hard hit. There was black crap floating in the bottle like pepper. I found out 100% it was the prime when I mistakenly used that bottle on my Lima cats tank. They instantly started to shed slime coat. Did a quick WC again right after they started but used the new bottle of prime instead of the bad one and they stopped. Oh and I'll pm you about something that may have your interest....Oh wow that is a massive loss on the Creni's! At least your gars pulled through though
Yeah that damn bottle killed a lot of fish and I am still curing some of the after effects from it.

Yeah. When it was happening I couldn't figure it out. The fish got worse with every WC I did to try to help. Once I figured it out I was more pissed.

lol, I forgot to add water conditioner when doing big WC once and all the kois were almost die, all the gar in there still eating like there was nothing happened!
