Nowhere
I awoke this morning to see that my big guy had passed on. It hurt so much to see that.. It was so sudden, he had shown 0 signs of illness and was eating like a pig. His home was a 75gal, which I know is small for a common. He was going to be upgraded to a 6x2x2...
My water parameters are as fallows: Ammonia-.25, Nitrite-0, Nitrate-40, pH-6
I noticed that the pH has dropped down from 6.8. The Nitrate has been high like that for awhile. As for them ammonia, I guess I need to increase the frequency of my water changes. I usually change 25% once a week. I was already planning to step up my water changes to 25% twice per week.
Tank mates(And I already know it's overstocked): 1 LMB, 1 Bluegill, 1 small Koi, 3 large comet/common goldfish & 2 small comet/common goldfish. I am building a pond for the koi and goldfish in the spring. The LMB and Bluegill will get the 6x2x2 tank. I am going to take out the smallest goldie and move it to the 40B.
Filtration: 1 AC110 and 1 Emperor 400
I fed the pleco vegies(cucumber, zucchini, squash, etc) about twice per week. They were large pieces so I left them in the tank, and once they were eaten the plec would go 1-2 days before it recieved another. The other fish are fed 1-2 times per day. On days where they're fed once they got either worms, crickets, or earthworms. Some days, goldfish flakes/disks are added.
2 days earlier I had just finished treating the tank with Quick Cure. The goldfish had gotten a bacterial infection that has been succesfully treated.
I hope this is enough information for you all. I am now going to dedicate this thread to my pleco Eclipse. I sure will miss him..

Wow Lindsey sorry hun. He looked like a champ though. These things happen in the fish hobby, nothing more to do than take a few last pics and keep on truckin. Sorry for your loss.

Sorry for the loss...

It sounds like your filtration isn't enough. You should NEVER read any ammonia in a well established tank (even if something just died). Also, nitrates should be under 20, preferably under 10. I'm sure it's the high nitrates for an extended period of time that killed your fish. With the stock you have, 50% once a week should be plenty for water changes. As for how much filtration... I have a 75 gallon filtered by a Fluval 405, AC110 and AC50, for example. You have a heavy bioload (goldfish) so you should really increase your BIO filtration. Just my opinion.

Thanks all.
@geronimo69 - Thanks, I know ammonia should always be zero. That's why I was going to up my water changes. Maybe 50% once a week would be easier.. as for the filtration, I've been looking for a cheap fx5 or fluval 404. And the nitrates, I thought they weren't bad and just made algae grow everywhere?

Snow King?

Aside from ammonia and other possible stressors, catfish are medicine sponges. I'd strongly suspect the medication you used was too toxic for the scaleless pleco. RIP.

I have treated my tanks and plecos with quick cure with no issues. I would tend to believe it was from the ammonia and high nitrates for extended time also.
