It is remarkable how there is really no shriveling of the bodies. Did you do anything special post mortem? How did you handle them/preserve them?

Nothing special. Just dug up a hole on the ground, place the bichir then cover it with rotten leaves. Place the rotten leaves before dumping the soil.
