I would get rid of that rack asap as well. Not worth the risk, honestly.

I will second the brick/cinderblock + 4x4 wood rack. I have used this in the past to hold big tanks before for peace of mind.

Another good thing about those is that you can re use then in many ways and configurations in the future.


Something like this for example (I would have personally made it a little lower and not as much space in the middle for even more strength but you get the idea)

I’ve only time for a short response at the moment so I’ll make it simple. Apparently this rack has braces which I forgot to add which is why it started to mess up. I added the brace and screws and bolts to keep the brace in place and it’s all better now.

It’s actually seriously quiet with all the tanks filled to the top but I prefer there to be noise so I put the water level about 2-3 inches from the top. With the level being there it provides a decent bit of noise which I like. I hate absolute quiet, I love background tank noise, I’ll sleep and even read to it.
