Well, the stand got here and OMG!

This one is suppose to have a top, it shows it in the catalog pictures and on the website.
It really wouldn't be very sturdy without the top and bottom, because there is no back, just some cardboard backing to go behind the shelves. So, if I set it up as is, the tank would be resting on 4 1/2 wide pieces of partical board that make up the stand sides and the door/shelf sides, which in turn are held in place by 2 screws on the bottom of each piece. It would be like an "I" beam with no top, and very wobbly, with just the 2 front corners to rest on.
Anyways, couldn't get ahold of CS today, they are suppose to be there 7 days a week, but the phone just rang and rang. Going to try again Sunday.
You know, Big Al's is a good place to get most things, like filter media or anything you don't need right away (it always takes a week for whatever I order to get to me, but that may just be because I live in the UP of MI.)
And this is the first time I haven't been given double points. I would just not reccomend them for large items or big orders (my order was about $300, so you can see why the points are a big deal to me.)
Also, I paid with e-bill from my checking account, to take advantage of the free shipping promotion. So, I can't dispute anything with a credit card if I can't get refunded or whatever.
BTW, thanks for all your support, no one else seems to understand why this is such a big deal for me!
Wow, that really sucks. Sorry to hear about all the troubles. I always go to Big Al's to get my stuff (tanks, stands, fish, decor) but I always go to an actual store. I have never had anything shipped to me from their online service.
I guess I will avoid that for now. Although the store has informed me that they can get me anything that is on the website. Definitely makes me think twice though. I really hope that they are quick to correct the problem.
